I would like to leave a message of condolence to Val and family on behalf of Diana MacLean and family.
My mum Diana and late Dad, Don immensely enjoyed their friendship with Val and Jim over the last 15 years in particular. I know that Dad had known Jim a little from University days and crossed paths over a lifetime living in Auckland but the four of them only got together after meeting at U3A. Mum and Dad really looked forward to catch ups and activities and I had the pleasure of meeting with you Val ,and your family at your home in Devonport and appreciated seeing you at Dons funeral.
Fortunately mum is spending this period of isolation with my wife in Matakana while I am in Auckland in my own bubble.
I’m sorry we could not join with you to celebrate Jim’s life and many achievements due to these exceptional times.
My mum sends her best wishes and I join with her in conveying our sympathies.

Iain and Calum MacLean, Diana Maclean and our immediate Clan
